Description: In Ecuador the 13, 2 percent of the society has some type of disability, the 6, 1 percent needs special education, but just few of them can afford it. Not only because the government does not give economical support, but also because there is not enough information about the issue. “FRUTOS”, integral attention center for children with Down syndrome and special educational needs, is one of few specialized centers on special education in Quito. Nevertheless, its infrastructure is only for 10 kids. In the center, professionals use new and innovative therapies. For this reason, students experience remarkable development on their skills. The investigation was developed in order to bring an information source. Through a documentary script, the project tries to enlighten the citizenship about the special education. Moreover, it details which therapies help in children integral development. Ludotherapy, used as teaching method, is very effective when it is utilized in kids who need special education. However, the special education schools in Ecuador are still using old-fashioned therapies on its patients. This is the fact because children do not improve skills and abilities, as they should. Besides, 5 the final audiovisual product has the function to show the schools the new therapies which really generate noticeable changes on kids. Finally, the documentary script will inform about the girls and boys with special educational needs, try to eliminate wrong criteria, and bring information sources.
