Abstract: La finalidad al desarrollar esta tesis, es dar a conocer a todas aquellas personas nacionales y extranjeras, interesadas por la cultura e historia de nuestro Quito Colonial; a través de los relatos que narran aquellas cosas del pasado, hechos extraordinarios, muchos de ellos sobrenaturales, que vuelven a nosotros para contarnos sus tragedias, la vida en penumbras, sus leyendas llenas de romanticismo, tragedia, música, valor y misterio. Enfocándolas desde el punto de vista turístico, la comercialización y promoción de Quito con sus tradiciones y leyendas, será mucho más atractivo para la comunidad y para aquellos turistas, interesados en conocer acerca de la maravillosa arquitectura colonial quiteña, el porque de su estilo, y decoración. El tema de la tesis habla sobre la historia de nuestra ciudad, de algunos errores históricos, de como fue desarrollándose la villa hasta llegar a obtener el título de Ciudad; la construcción y el trazado de sus calles y casas; el ordenamiento y estructuración de la ciudad al rellenar quebradas y sustituirlas por puentes, para extenderse a lo largo y ancho de este terreno montañoso. Con la seguridad, que al promocionar todos estos hechos históricos llenos de mística leyenda y tradición que cautivan a la gente; podemos darnos a conocer al turista, vendiendo lo que somos: nuestra historia, ancestros y tradiciones, pues nos hemos convertido en Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad, al mantener una ciudad llena de misticismo y romanticismo, a la cual se la puede aprovechar, pues conserva uno de los pocos Centros Coloniales más hermosos que se ha mantenido hasta nuestra época.
The purpose in developing this thesis is to make known all those national and foreign people, interested in the culture and history of our Colonial Quito; through the stories that narrate those things of the past, facts extraordinary, many of them supernatural, that come back to us for Tell us about his tragedies, life in twilight, his legends full of romanticism, tragedy, music, courage and mystery. Focusing them from the tourist point of view, marketing and promotion of Quito with its traditions and legends, will be much more attractive to the community and for those tourists, interested in knowing about the wonderful Quito colonial architecture, because of its style, and decoration. The subject of the thesis talks about the history of our city, of some historical errors, how the villa was developed to get the title town; the construction and layout of its streets and houses; the ordering and structuring the city by filling in streams and replacing them with bridges, extend throughout this mountainous terrain. With security, that by promoting all these historical facts full of mystical legend and tradition that captivate people; we can make ourselves known to tourist, selling what we are: our history, ancestry and traditions, We have become a World Cultural Heritage, by maintaining a city full of mysticism and romanticism, which can be exploited, because it conserves one of the few most beautiful Colonial Centers that has remained our time.
