La importancia de la gestión hotelera

Abstract

En la presente tesis se exponen los sistemas más funcionales que se usan en los hoteles. Se han tomado en cuenta para la elaboración de este trabajo, los hoteles con un alto número de habitaciones, es decir los hoteles de lujo o de cinco y cuatro estrellas, ya que son los que representan a la actividad hotelera moderna, de ahí la importancia de su gestión. Se ha hecho un estudio de información de soporte histórico de la hoteleria internacional a nivel general, ya que lamentablemente en el Ecuador no se ha registrado documento histórico alguno acerca de esta actividad. Pero corno ejemplo del desarrollo de la actividad hotelera en el país se ha considerado a uno de los hoteles de mayor prestigio a nivel nacional. La administración hotelera es un campo que debe ser tomado con responsabilidad, profesionalismo y capacidad, ya que es la base de la actividad hotelera, razón por la cual uno de los capítulos está dedicado a este tema. El estudio de cada uno de los departamentos que conforman un hotel, permite que se pueda conocer las diversas y diferentes funciones que se deben realizar, al igual que la gran variedad de personal que labora en estas áreas. La empresa hotelera en el Ecuador c'übe responder a una serie de responsabilidades y obligaciones con el objetivo de dar al cliente el grado más alto de satisfacción en relación con los servicios prestados. Se ha citado para conocimiento de las normas hoteleras el Reglamento Hotelero del Ecuador, que lamentablemente data de muchos años atrás y que no es acatado por las empresas o empresarios hoteleros

In this thesis the most important systems are exposed functional that are used in hotels. They have been taken into account for the elaboration of this work, hotels with a high number of rooms, that is, luxury hotels or five and four stars, since they represent the modern hotel activity, hence the importance of its management. A support information study has been done historic of the international hotel industry general, since unfortunately in Ecuador there has been no registered any historical document about this activity. But as an example of the development of hotel activity in the country has been considered one of the most prestigious hotels nationwide. The hotel management is a field that should be taken with responsibility, professionalism and capacity, since it is the base of the hotel activity, reason why one of the chapters is dedicated to this matter. The study of each of the departments that make a hotel, allows you to know the diverse and different functions that must be performed, as well as the great variety of personnel that works in these areas. The hotel company in Ecuador can respond to a series of responsibilities and obligations with the objective of giving the client the highest degree of satisfaction in relation to the services provided. It has been cited for knowledge of the hotel rules the Hotel Regulation of Ecuador, which unfortunately dates back many years and that is not followed by hotel companies or entrepreneurs
