Abstract: La Sala de Conferencias cuenta con 300 butacas para el público, además de las salas complementarias necesarias para ubicar todos los aparatos de sonido que brinden una buena acústica en el lugar. El escenario es de 9m de largo, 3m de fondo y 2.1 m de alto. El Centro de Arte de Guayaquil fue inaugurado en enero de 1988, gracias a la labor de la sociedad femenina de cultura. La elaboración del proyecto estuvo a cargo del Arq. Rafael Castro Abad, con colaboración de asesores de la Universidad de Vale, y un equipo de ingenieros y arquitectos nacionales. En dicho centro tienen lugar varias actividades y espacios destinados a la cultura, entre estos están el teatro del Centro de Arte, un teatro experimental, la escuela de música, la escuela de ballet, la escueta de arte dramático. la escuela de pintura y escultura, y la sede administrativa de la Sociedad Femenina de Cultura. El centro cuenta con un teatro mayor que alberga 850 localidades distribuidas 300 en balcón y 550 en luneta. Cuenta con un escenario móvil que permite subir el foso de al orquesta. Además posee cinco camerinos, equipados con baños y tocadores; cada uno de estos puede alojar a quince artistas. En el centro de Arte también funcionan las oficinas de la Sociedad Femenina de Cultura, estas se encuentran en el tercer nivel. Et teatro experimental está destinado para pequeñas presentaciones de colegios o universidades, tiene una capacidad para 240 personas. La escuela de música está dotada de un salón de estudios de música, el cuarto para guardar instrumentos y su oficina administrativa. Para la práctica de ballet se han destinado dos salas de danza, además de vestidores, cuarto de instrumentos y su oficina administrativa. El desempeño de las actividades de pintura y escultura se desarrolla en un salón equipado con lo necesario para et efecto. este está ubicado en el segundo nivel del edificio.- El centro cuenta también con una biblioteca abierta al público
The Conference Room has 300 seats for the public, in addition to the additional rooms necessary to locate all the sound devices that provide good acoustics in the place. The stage is 9m long, 3m deep and 2.1m high. The Art Center of Guayaquil was inaugurated in January 1988, thanks to the work of the female society of culture. The project was prepared by Arch.
