Abstract: La sustitución de importaciones es un deseo que cada país trata de lograr debido a la impactos importantes en el empleo y la producción, en el Ecuador se ha implementado agresiva medidas con el fin de limitar las importaciones de determinados productos, la promoción de la producción nacional con la cambio denominados en la matriz productiva. Representa una gran oportunidad para los nacionales productores; Sin embargo, también es un reto porque tienen que implementar cambios en sus sistemas de producción que permiten obtener productos competitivos que satisfagan las necesidades de los consumidores. Juguetes forman parte de los productos con las restricciones a la importación más altos, en 2014 por primera vez en los últimos cinco años, las importaciones de juguetes se redujo significativamente en un 23%, y dentro de este grupo son juguetes de madera, que se fabrican principalmente por microempresas, con dificultades en la implementación de estrategias que les permitan aprovechar su potencial de crecimiento. Lo anterior motivó a analizar las importaciones de juguete y su impacto en la producción del microempresa Noble Madera, ubicado al norte de la ciudad de Quito, con el propósito de identificar estrategias que permitan aprovechar la oportunidad que existe en el mercado, contribuyendo a consolidar el sistema económico, social y solidario de una manera sostenible; y asegurar decente trabajar en todas sus formas, la alineación con los objetivos 8 y 9, respectivamente, del "Plan Nacional del Buen Vivir "de Ecuador para el período de 2013 a 2017.
Description: Import substitution is a desire that every country seeks to achieve because of the important impacts in employment and production, in Ecuador has been implemented aggressive measures in order to limit imports of certain products, promoting national production with the denominated change in the productive matrix. It represents a big opportunity for national producers; however, it is also a challenge because they have to implement changes into their production systems that allow obtain competitive products that satisfies the consumers needs. Toys form part of the products with the higher import restrictions, in 2014 for first time in the last five years, toy imports were significantly reduced in a 23%, and within this group are wooden toys, which are manufactured primarily by microenterprises, with difficulties in implementing strategies that enable them to take advantage of their growth potential. The foregoing motivated to analyze toy imports and its impact in the production of the microenterprise Noble Madera, located north of Quito city, with the purpose of identifying strategies that allow to take advantage of the opportunity that exists in the market, contributing to consolidate the economic, social and solidary system in a sustainably way; and ensuring decent work in all its forms, aligning with the objectives 8 and 9 respectively, from the “Plan Nacional del Buen Vivir” of Ecuador for the period 2013-2017.
