Diseño arquitectónico de centro de bienestar animal parroquial como plan piloto para el distrito metropolitano de Quito

Abstract

La sociedad Ecuatoriana se ha acostumbrado a vivir en un entorno en el que a diario se encuentra animales en estado de abandono o riesgo, pensando que es inherente a las circunstancias que como país latinoamericano se debe sobrellevar, y que, el óptimo escenario en el que los animales viven en otras sociedades de países desarrollados, no son reproducibles en nuestro entorno. Sin embargo, a nivel nacional, actualmente se ha generado una corriente de pensamiento “progresista” que promueve la concienciación de la sociedad hacia tendencias ecologistas, las cuales invitan a reflexionar sobre la situación actual de temas como el manejo gubernamental de la rica fauna y flora del país. Dentro de estos temas de interés se encuentra la creciente preocupación de la sociedad sobre el bienestar animal, en particular, sobre el manejo de la fauna en las urbes.

The Ecuadorian society has become accustomed to living in an environment in which animals are found in a state of abandonment or risk every day, thinking that it is inherent to the circumstances that as a Latin American country must be overcome, and that, the optimal scenario in which the animals live in other societies of developed countries, they are not reproducible in our environment. However, at the national level, a "progressive" current of thought has been generated that promotes the awareness of society towards environmental trends, which invite us to reflect on the current situation of issues such as the governmental management of the rich fauna and flora from the country. Within these topics of interest is the growing concern of society on animal welfare, in particular, on the management of wildlife in cities.
